Patch Clamp assay

Conventional manual Patch Clamp in HEK-293 or CHO cells

The patch clamp technique is the gold standard method for assessing ion channel functionality and provides the most versatile and accurate assessment of drug interactions with ion channels.

Two main configurations of the patch clamp technique are used at PhysioStim to record ion channel activity: the whole cell configuration and the perforated patch configuration. Both methods allow to study the electrical behavior of the entire cell and the interaction of a test article with a selected ion channel.

PhysioStim proposes a wide range of ion channel assays to quickly and accurately provide results for drug discovery and development research worldwide. Assays are performed manually by patch clamp.
